PLANT SPIRIT EVENINGS - fortnightly from Thurs. May 6th
We are doing plant spirit journeying on Thursday evenings at 7.30. No previous experience is necessary. They are based on shamanic teachings but basically are gentle meditations on individual plants and help the participants to become familiar with the personality, strengths and potential of the plants. The actual journeying takes about 15 minutes, and the whole session lasts about an hour and a half. Some people find it very beneficial to their sense of well being and relationship with nature. If you would like to attend please phone or email before hand.

ABOUT THE TUTORS
Davina Wynne-Jones is the founder of Herbs for Healing. She turned to horticulture and herbalism as a career in her fifties although her study of herbs has been life long. Davina began making herbal concoctions for her own use in the early 1970's, inspired by a visit to herbalist Jeanne Rose in California who was at the forefront of a resurgence of interest in using herbs for beauty as well as medicine.
Davina's mother, Rosemary Verey, started collecting early English herbals at the same time and Davina spent much time enjoying them and planted her first herb garden then.
Davina qualified as a masseuse in 1990 and incorporated aromatherapy oils and flower essences in her work. Since she started Herbs for Healing in 2005 she enjoys working with the plants themselves. Davina has a degree in Fine Art and worked for many years as a printer and printmaker as well as running her late father's museum, Arlington Mill for 10 years.
Saskia Marjoram has lived in Gloucestershire and worked with flowers most of her life. She is a talented florist who for many years ran a business supplying her own naturally grown flowers for businesses and special events, she believes strongly that flowers are food for the soul. She was an in-house florist at Highgrove and she learnt her gardening skills at at Nether Lypiatt Manor. She is now concentrating on developing Saskia's Flower Esssencess and offers consultations to those who wish to use them. She is also currently working in the garden at Herbs for Healing.
Christine Felce is a qualified homeopath having studied and practiced in both London & Calcutta. She currently works as a filmmaker and is a keen natural gardener who has been interested in the healing power of plants since she was a child. Christine is the other half of Saskias Flower Essences.
Caroline Sheldrick qualified with the National Institute of Medical Herbalists in 2003 and has been treating patients at clinics in Cirencester, Stroud, and Nailsworth ever since. She has also studied botany and is as at home with the plants in the garden as those in the bottle.
Rowan Wynne-Jones has over ten years experience working with children and teenagers in play and educational settings. She is currently studying landscape architecture. As a schoolgirl she often worked in the gardens at Barnsley House.
